They make everything fresh, did you ever think that their orders may have been simple to prepare. I've never had a problem. I'd go back for their puffy tacos even if the service was bad!
I've never had a problem because I have always eaten there and it's been hot and delicious food..... good for you!
Yes, of course...
Just call and ask they are very nice
My family started eating there when they were on Austin Highway in San Antonio. We will follow them ANYWHERE! Non greasy, HEALTHY Mexican food! Many dishes are or can be BEGAN! Their beans are organic and vegan. They use brown rice and it is also vegan. They have vegan fillings for enchiladas and tacos. They have choices of many sauces some of which are vega. For those of you upset with the service and won’t come back: it’s YOUR loss! And it means us regulars can be seated faster! This place has served awesome food for several decades! I started eating there in my 20’s. I’m 72 now. Service is sometimes better than at other times. We don’t care. It’s one of a kind! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
It's been a very long time since I've been here and I'm so happy I stopped in again recently. The staff is so friendly and the food was better than I remember! I was a little worried since I don't really eat meat anymore but I discovered they offer a vegetarian sauce for their enchiladas and even have some tofu options! The sauce is more flavorful than the traditional sauce in my opinion. Definitely can't wait to come back now.
You seat yourself. It was crowded at lunch on a Wednesday, a good sign. Very colorful outside with some trees left growing in the front. Gives a nice feel as you enter. Cloth napkins, metal utensils, and ceramic plates.Drink was delivered quickly and my entree order was taken at the same time. Salsa was good. I never like it when it is too spicy, this one has some bite without pepper being all you can taste. Chips were very thin and seemed home made. A little loud inside but it was pretty full of customers.Ordered the puffy taco combo plate with guacamole and beans. My entree took a bit to arrive and my waitress was very busy back and forth with meals. Menu says they are famous for their puffy tacos and I agree. Everything was very good. I would definitely recommend!!
I have been eating here for many years. Food and service is always great. Many weekday lunch specials to choose from. Their soups are soooooo good.
Came in at 11:30 on a Saturday. Salsa was horrible. Guess it’s true, you can gauge a Mexican restaurant by it’s salsa. Ordered the puffy taco plate with enchilada. Not sure how they over cooked the rice and yet it was still crunchy. The puffy taco tasted weird and had no flavor. The corn tortillas tasted and smelled like it had been in the warmer too long. Won’t be back. El Toro down the street is 100 times better.
This Place will forever be my favorite. My Parents used to work here in their Teen Years and it hasn’t changed a bit. This is Legit food, and I only and mainly come here for their Puffy Tacos. They never Fail me. Puffy Tacos 10/10. And what you do tend to notice is that there is a lot of older people that go here (age range mid 40s-) because this is a one of those places where you grow up eating there, then one day take your family and then eventually having your kids take their kids there and it’s like a tradition. Most of the time, it’s regulars who go here. It’s cozy, cute, old style but gives you that feel. I don’t know how to explain but service here and food here is great. Especially the Chicken Puffy Tacos, Get it if you never had gotten them, it’s worth it!
The decor was beautiful and the service was excellent. Johnny was our server and he did a fantastic job. He was a friendly sociable person and gave us our food quicklyafter we had ordered. The portions are normal except forthe taco salad which is HUGE! All in all it was an excellentexperience and I would highly recommend this placeto all others who are traveling in the Pat Booker area.
What a great little restaurant. Very friendly people working here. Excellent food.
The food was great and the decor was really colorful. The staff were all super friendly too. Great place to take the family.
Great food with the ability to customize any plate to be vegetarian. Plenty of vegan options also. Definitely worth a drive across town and we'll definitely return!
Good healthy and delicious food! Friendly and fast service. Usually gets crowded after 5pm. Very popular with older clientele and crowd from the military base.
Excellent! Friendly staff, food was delicious. Enjoyed every bite. Only down side is no sweet tea. I'm lazy and don't want to have to stir in sugar. Prices were very reasonable.
Just had dinner here with my husband for the first time. Busy Friday night. Had great service with really good food. Puffy tacos were done well. We found our new restaurant for Mexican food. Goodbye Chuys!
My favorite Mexican Food restaurant in this area Love the daily fresh side selections. Healthyet to boot!
Delicious food!! Friendly servers!! Festive decor!! This is our favorite spot for Mexican food. The fact that's it's healthy is the cherry on top!
First place I stop on my way into San Antonio. Best tortilla soup and salsa. Rest of the menu is outstanding. Lunch specials are all great value for the portions.
